1.) Needlepoint Canvas- either 13 or 18 Mesh size

2.) Threads- for 13 Mesh
use thicker threads that provide full canvas coverage, such a Silk & Ivory, Planet Earth Silk, or DMC Pearl Cotton size 3. For 18 Mesh the ideal thread provides good coverage without distorting the mesh, typically requiring a thinner, single-strand, or finer-ply thread. The top choices are DMC Pearl Cotton #5, 3-4 strands of embroidery floss, or silk/wool blends like Vineyard Silk and Pepper Pot Silk.

3.) Tapestry Needles- No, you do not use actual sewing needles! You will need tapestry needles which are more dull

4.) Tools-Optional but helps out: scissors, needle threader, project bag, light (head lamp or book light), and stretcher bars
